The display focuses on the dawn of June 25, 1950, start from the sudden raid of North Korea across the 38th parallel and South Korea military’s hold back overcoming the inferiority. Civilian, Organization, Military joined forces to protect the last resort the Nakdong River to buy time for the UN forces to enter the war and start the counter attack.
The picture and description panels to better understand the background information of the Korean War and its passage, and also show how North Korea’s strong military was able to break through the 38th parallel. The exhibition focus is divided into foundation of North and South Korea’s government establishment, comparison of the weaponry, symbol of southern invasion, ground warfare at the beginning of the war battle at the sea and air, US Task Force Smith’s Delaying Tactics, medical support, student volunteers and The activities of commando units of student soldiers and other civilians, and also the Korean War related articles, document, diorama, model, visual media etc are displayed.
